POPS DRAW DELICIOUS.
The creators of Pleasant Pops, Roger & Brian, are local DC food artisans. Their icy flavored popsicles can be found at farmers’ markets throughout the District. With summertime upon us, finding the pop truck in your neighborhood is a welcomed refreshing treat.
Each pop is handmade with fresh local ingredients. Delicious flavors like, Mexican Chocolate, Pineapple Basil, Thai Coconut Curry Cream and Cantaloupe Mint instantly make your mouth water.
Elizabeth and I are the BIGGEST pop fans. Two of our favorite flavors are Honey Lavender Cream and Strawberry Rhubarb. We asked the popsicle men to share their not-so-secret recipe and they obliged. Hand Drawn Bazaar is sharing their delicious secret with you!
Plus, this summer the food truck is opening a year-round community market in Adams Morgan. The Pleasant Pops Farmhouse Market raised over $20,000 on Kickstarter and will offer a variety of seasonal local products including:
- Seasonal local produce & dairy
- Handmade bread
- Jams, jellies and pickles
- Roasted coffee
- Vegetarian sandwiches & salads
We can’t wait for the cafe to open! In the meantime, follow Pleasant Pops on twitter and visit them at one of these awesome DC farmers’ markets.
